Glacier Gorge Trailhead
Trailhead on Bear Lake Road for Alberta Falls (0.8 mile), Mills Lake, The Loch, Black Lake and Sky Pond. The lot fills early every day; the park suggests Park & Ride and the Bear Lake shuttle.
The start of the Glacier Gorge trails, at 9,175 feet, and in the park’s words one of its most popular hiking areas all year. One-way distances on the park’s corridor page: Alberta Falls 0.8 mile, Lake Haiyaha 2.1, Mills Lake 2.7, The Loch and Jewel Lake 3, Sky Pond 4.2 and Black Lake 4.7 miles. From Beaver Meadows Visitor Center, take US 36 west about 1.3 miles to Bear Lake Road, then follow it about 8 miles.
