Lodging
F.O. Stanley's 1909 hotel, known for its link to Stephen King's The Shining. Visitors who are not staying can book tours, eat at the restaurants and see concerts; day parking is $10.
F.O. Stanley, co-creator of the Stanley Steamer, built the hotel in 1909 after coming to Estes Park for his health. Besides rooms at The Stanley, The Lodge and Aspire, it runs 60-minute historic, ghost and Shining tours, a whiskey tour, concerts, comedy and other shows through the year under the Stanley Live name, and several restaurants and bars, all open to non-guests. Only trained service animals are allowed in the buildings; day visitors pay $10 to park.
Tours from the hotel’s tours page; rooms from its home page.
